PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN COURSE DESCRIPTION
PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN COURSE REQUIREMENTS (Due Monday before the 1st day of class):
Phlebotomists are medical professionals trained to draw blood through venipuncture for the purposes of testing, research, donations, and more. Phlebotomists are able to work in hospitals, blood banks, doctors offices and other medical facilities that are in continuous need of phlebotomists who carry proper training and certification. To obtain the required Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) credentials, individuals must qualify for and pass an exam given by a nationally recognized CPT certification board.
In this course you will learn how to obtain blood and stool specimens, obtain urine specimens, perform venipuncture (drawing blood) and capillary sticks (finger sticks), point of care testing, safety and infection prevention techniques. Students are also taught how to obtain vital signs, CPR, a. This course is a 64 clock hour course of instruction and upon successful completion students will be able to sit for national testing with National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
Must be at least 18 years old with a High School Diploma or GED
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Must be a US Citizen or Valid Green Card Holder
Valid Government Issued ID / Driver’s License
Social Security Card
Negative TB Skin Test or Chest X-Ray

PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN COURSE PRICING
The cost of all Phlebotomy courses is $950 with a $400 deposit (this includes the $150 non-refundable registration application fee) which is applied toward your tuition. Included in the tuition is BLS (CPR), TB skin test, supplies, liability insurance and textbook. If you are not able to pay the entire tuition up front you will be placed on our payment plan, with payments made by invoice or automatic draft/payments. Tuition must be paid in full before the course ends. Please note that there is a $150 non-refundable application fee.

Once your payment is made we will begin sending your student enrollment forms to complete. If you are unable to pay the full tuition you may pay a deposit and be placed under our Payment Plan. Full payments receive a $100 dollar discount at checkout.
Traditional Phlebotomy Technician Course
The Traditional Phlebotomy Technician course is a 4 week in person course that is held Monday through Thursday from 1pm to 5pm. The cost of this course is $950 with a $400 dollar deposit. Students are able to pay their tuition under our payment plan if unable to pay the entire tuition up front. All balances must be paid in full prior to the end of the course.

Hybrid Phlebotomy Technician Course
The Hybrid Phlebotomy Technician course is a 4 week hybrid course where studens complete reading and other assignments online. Students will come in person once a week on Tuesdays 8am—1pm. The cost of this course is $950 with a $400 dollar deposit. Students are able to pay their tuition under our payment plan if unable to pay the entire tuition up front. All balances must be paid in full prior to the end of the course.

The Phlebotomy Refresher workshop is up to 4 hours in-person training and review of phlebotomy.
This workshop is for healthcare professionals wishing to return to the field, or refresh on basic knowledge, skills and practice hands on training using training mannequins. Please check the schedule for exact class dates.
Areas of phlebotomy covered in this class include: infection control and safety measures, anatomy, equipment and methods for performing blood withdrawal and labs, and centrifugation. All students will be asked to sign a medical waiver.
Prerequisite
Must provide Certificate or Diploma in a medical course (ie. Phlebotomy, Medical Assistant or Nursing License) completed within at least the past 5 years
US Citizen or valid green card
18 years of age or older
Must pay entire cost of $200 prior to attending class ($50 non-refundable registration fee)
Instructional Model: This class is offered in person. Participants will demonstrate hands on training using training mannequins.
